Our world is filled with stories of magic, mysticism, and ancient religions.  As incredible as the human imagination is, and as wonderful as hallucinogenic drugs are, these stories had to come from somewhere.  Though the majority of the human population has forgotten that there is so much more to our world than anorexic celebrities hitting rehab every two weeks, there are still those out there seeking the truth.  But when the truth is uncovered, will we be ready?

An ancient society has worked diligently for the past fifteen thousand years to gather and hoard all of the world’s knowledge, but the secrets of the mystical elude them to this day.  That is why the K.I.P. project was formed: to seek out, chronicle and understand the mysteries of the universe.  Or at least that’s what the members of the research team have been told.  But with ancient factions of warring immortal beings running rampant across this and other secret dimensions, and a dark prophecy of the end of man and the coming of a new God, is the K.I.P. Project’s job to understand the mysterious or to weapon-ize it?

            One ancient text,
                        Two false gods,
                                    Three shattered lives,
And an entire history of misconceptions…

In the eternal struggle for the human soul…

Dr. Jennifer Meaus teaches religious studies at the University of Miami.  There she has an incredible life and an amazing future next to the man she loves, archaeologist Dr. Xavier Rose, who has just uncovered the oldest written text known to man.  As Dr. Meaus works to translate the text, she soon uncovers that this may very well rewrite religious and political history.  That is, until Dr. Rose is murdered and the book stolen by the in-human leader of a Goth-Gang.

Now, thrown into an uneasy partnership with a mysterious man known only as Enlil and his newest protégé, Marduk, a defunct private detective named Jonathan Riser, Jennifer has to maneuver through lies, cover-ups and a pretty-boy wanna-be mercenary all surrounding the missing book just to get her hands on the woman who killed Xavier Rose.  In the end, Meaus faces a choice; go back to the shattered life left in the wake of this tragedy, or partner with some of the least trust-worthy men on the planet to uncover more of the world’s hidden mysteries and to find the one thing that could alter the course of human history, the Book of Legends.
